Intra-College Debate Competition 2023

Dear Students,

We are excited to announce the upcoming Intra-College Debate Competition, which will be a platform for our talented students to showcase their oratory and argumentative skills. This competition aims to foster critical thinking and public speaking abilities among our student community.

Details of the competition are as follows:

TOPIC: Is Vegetarian diet helthier than a meat based diet ?

Date: Friday, 29 September 2023 (12 Ashwin 2080)

Time: 1:00 PM

Venue: Trinity Futsal Court

1. Competition Format:
   • The competition will be held between individual participants.
2. Topic Announcement:
   • The topic for the debate will be announced 2 days before the competition.
3. Speaking Time:
   • Each participant will be given a maximum of 5 minutes to speak either in favor or against the subject.
4. Time Warning and Penalties:
   • A warning bell will be given after 4:30 minutes, and a final bell after 5 minutes. If participants exceed the allocated time, marks will be deducted at the discretion of the judges.
5. Judging Criteria:
   • A panel of judges will evaluate the participants based on content, delivery, and overall performance. (Verified)

 

Prizes:

• Certificate & Medal to position holders (First, Second & Third) in both category (English & Nepali)
